Check out this great video of Dr. Rubino from Webber Naturals where she shares her top tips for healthy aging including:

1) Start with a clean slate by detoxing to remove any toxins

2) Eat clean with foods that are high in flax, omega oils, antioxidants, and Vitamin K

3) Supplement with vitamins such as Vitamin B12 and CoQ10

5) Increase water intake and don’t forget to exercise!

PGX and Weight Loss

Confession Time! Banner-PGXShedPounds_E

One of the Vitamin Dummy’s needs to shed a few pounds. Hey, I’m working full-time and going to school part-time, things just sort of creep up on you. I walk every morning but I don’t have time to spend hours at the gym. I wish I did. I like going to the gym and I can’t wait to have more time to go back.

Anyway, for the last month I’ve been using PGX Daily softgels. You take them before a meal and they make you feel fuller so you don’t over eat. It also helps with sugar cravings and balancing out the blood sugar roller coaster.  I highly recommend PGX. In – almost – one month I’ve lost 4 pounds. Now I know that’s not heaps but I’m in it for the long haul.

Who’s with me? Let’s get ready for summer!

Keeping Your Kids Healthy

The experts over at Webber Naturals answer your questions about health. We were interested in what they had to say about keeping your kids active and healthy.

One of their fans wrote in to ask a very important question about kids taking supplements. Here is the question from Webber Naturals blog.

“Do you think kids 4 to 15 should be taking any supplements for their joints, etc.? We have just started a soccer school and we want to make sure our players stay injury free. – Jon Johnson”

What a great question!

Resident expert Kristin Metvedt has the answer!

Quick DinnerRunning short on time but want something the kids can make and will eat?

My sister and her kids made this recipe last night so I thought I’d share it with you! Enjoy!

QUICK DINNERMix 1/2 cup of Bisquick, 1/2 Cup of Milk, and 2 eggs together for a base. (put about 1 tablespoon in each muffin cup)

Top with about 1/4 cup of any “fillings” you want. – Cheeseburger, Pizza, BLT, Chicken and Veggies, etc…. You can mix it up in the pan (any meat should already be cooked)

Then top with one more tablespoon of the “Bisquick Mixture” – and bake at 375 for 25-30. It’s a great way to get rid of your leftovers! These can also be frozen! Just pop them into the microwave for a quick meal on the go!

How to get Healthy Hair

Healthy hair

This post is brought to you by special request! Okay, so my mom requested it but so what. You gotta listen to your mother! The question we wanted to answer was “what can you do to have healthy hair?”

Well, our research reveled that there is a lot you can do! Health starts within so we looked first to find out what foods would help. Foods like salmon, eggs, walnuts, bananas, and strawberries are great for healthy hair.

We also found this great mask for getting healthy hair! I’m going to put my feet up and try it tonight! If you decide to give it a go let me know how it turned out for you!

Avocado Banana Hair Mask

And of course you can take vitamins for healthy hair. Our top pick is Folic Acid.

A few reasons that folic acid is important is that it works to:

  1. Prevent grays.
  2. Make your hair thicker.
  3. Make your hair shinier.
  4. Add moisture to your hair so that you’ll have less breakage.

Got a question you want us to research? Let us know!

Happy Saturday!
